Who I am

I am a Cybersecurity professional located in Colorado. I study at UCCS and enjoy securing systems and setting up new devices and services on my home network.

I enjoy working on any electronic project or using my computer skills to set up a new service for myself or family and friends. When I'm not studying or working, I enjoy working on cars, motorcycles, and computer projects. I enjoy the outdoors and mountains, enjoying a scenic drive on the way to a trailhead is a great way to relax after a long week.

Monitored and investigated security alerts to ensure security of infrastructure at Centurion Cyber Solutions. Utilized security tools such as Netography, AbuseIPDB, and VirusTotal. Performed threat hunting to proactively prevent new threats.

Arduino Music Lights

A small project for controlling light strips using an Arduino and an audio processing script. The cross-platform version runs with Python, but I have also developed a PulseAudio/Linux specific version using C. Find it on my GitHub.

Homelab

This website runs off my server I built using my old PC parts. I have many other applications installed on my server, including file hosting, DNS, and Splunk to name a few. I love tinkering around with it to add more features or upgrade the hardware.

Hardware · Repair/Diagnose

iPhone SE bottom mic repair

I replaced the battery in my iPhone SE, shortly after, I dropped it and it would reboot every 3 minutes. I was able to diagnose it as a bad microphone on the charging port through kernel logs and fix it by replacing the charging port.

Mobile Linux

I love the customization Linux provides and I installed PostmarketOS and Mobian on my OnePlus 6T. I have yet to use either as a daily driver due to some software bugs but both work quite well for the development stage they are in.

Hardware · Assembly

8-Bit breadboard computer

I love electronics and I am currently learning more about them by following Ben Eater's tutorial on building an 8-bit computer. It has been quite a project that has shown me the interface between hardware and software while remaining simple enough for me to build in my free time.
